Originally from Connecticut, I moved to Massachusetts to pursue a degree in mechanical engineering from Boston University. After graduating, I spent a short amount of time working for an engineering consulting firm before taking a position with the NYC DEP in 2014.

A few years into my career as an assistant engineer, I was presented with the opportunity to transition into a computer role that I felt had more room for personal and professional growth. Using online material and books (with much trial and error) I have been able to learn and make use of programming languages/software like SQL, Python, VBA, and MS Power BI to address issues and solve problems for my work unit.

I am looking for a chance to hone my own skills while helping those who are earlier on in their coding journey.
